1.  OBJECTIVE AND GENERAL INFORMATION

The objective of this Pre-Qualification Request is to identify and shortlist General
Contractors who will be requested to submit bids for the renovation and
construction of a new Belleville Police Headquarters (“Project”).

 
Renovate the City’s existing single story 32,400 square foot building and build an
addition of approximately 33,000 square feet at 459 Sidney Street, Belleville,
ON. to accommodate a new Belleville Police Headquarters.

Only pre-qualified respondents will receive tender documents and be allowed to bid
on this project.

 
The construction work is estimated to be $16,000,000 and will be bid on a fixed
price contract based on CCDC 2.

 
The tender call is anticipated for May 2018 and commencement of construction is expected immediately
following pending Council approval. The required completion date for all works
will be August 2019.

 
Shoalts and Zaback Architect Ltd. are the Design and Construction Administration Architects
for this project and will also provide site inspection services.

 
Contractors who intend to submit pre-qualification documents are encouraged to thoroughly
review the information provided throughout this document.

 
Information submitted may be verified. In the event that it is determined that any of the
information submitted is inaccurate or misleading, the subject firm may be
disqualified from the project. Incomplete information may limit a firm’s
ability to qualify.
