Description: 

Through this Request for Proposal, the City of Belleville (City) seeks to retain an experienced
qualified Consultant Team to provide professional engineering services for the Belleville Pollution
Control Plant (PCP) Electrical and Back-up Power Systems Upgrades project (the Project). The
City is committed to addressing current insufficient electrical system and back-up power issues at
the Belleville PCP and preparing for future PCP upgrades. As a result, the City has determined the
need for comprehensive and integrated planning and design to satisfy both immediate and future
facility needs. The City will be pursuing upgrades to the PCP in the upcoming years, therefore
additional loads associated with the upgrades shall be considered in the design phases of this
Project.

Awarded Summary

The Council of the Corporation of the City of Belleville, at its regular meeting held on Monday, April
24, 2023 passed the following resolution:


“THAT the proposal submission from Associated Engineering (Ont.) Ltd. for
Request for Proposal No. ES-2023-01 for Design Consulting Services for
Electrical and Back-up Power Systems Upgrades at the Belleville PCP be
accepted in the amount of $372,581.05, plus $48,435.54 HST, for a total
amount of $421,016.59, with this being the most qualified proposal
received and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the
Acceptance Agreement on behalf of the Corporation of the City of Belleville
and that the City Clerk be authorized to affix the Corporate Seal.”
